Been walking faithfully since Mid July. Doing a virtual challenge where you track your miles on a virtual scenic route Pretty motivating to keep going. I've logged 80 miles on a 125 mile goal. Today I did a quick 3 miles at best pace ever. I ain't running, but I'm moving! I ain't losing, but I'm shrinking.

It doesn't seem like it at the time, but what you are doing for yourself is phenomenal. Even every other day. Hello goodness!!!

Thanks all for the encouragement. I know it's the best thing for me, and I feel great and much improved measurements, but there's that crazy desire to see POUNDS and I've only dropped 4 since mid July.

Carol - It's part of My Virtual Mission through Conqueror Challenges. There are about 15-20 missions ranging in distance from 20 miles to 2000 or more. I'm doing the Ring of Kerry (92 of 124 mi so far). Next up the Camino de Santiago 442 mile. You can automatically log miles via your fitbit or Map My Walk. Cool features include logging your walk, then pinning you place on the map where you can look around in Street View. At then end you get a medal and ribbon for completing, just like many runs. Entry is between $20 & $30 which is cheaper than a 2 month gym membership.
There's also a way to form group on the site where members can encourage each other and track each other's progress.
If you use this link, you get a discount, and I get credits toward a future walk. https://www.theconqueror.events/r/KM2507
If anyone is interested in more info or forming a group, PM me!
