I used to focus on protein and low carb diets IF and all kinds of diets but I always gain all the weight back plus some more. Now I’m just focusing on getting enough fiber 25-30g per day and so far so good.

Be mindful of calorie intake... eat what you want but in moderation... go over board with veggies and drink plenty of water.

high protein fills you up. little snacks keep you from getting overly hungry and eating too much at meals. drink a glass of water before a meal so you don't feel as hungry. healthy foods like fruits, veggies and meat give you enough nutrition so that your body doesn't give you crazy cravings. I count every calorie that goes into my mouth but I allow myself a splurge day once a month. I lost 35 pounds and it had stays stayed off for a couple of years. I'm healthy and happy, good luck!

Portion comtrol and moderation coupled with healthier eating most of the time and less healthy choices once in a while. I have been doing this way of eating for at least 30 years.

For me, I have to cut out the processed carbs or nothing happens on the scale. Not only that, I love all things bread, pasta, rice, desserts, etc. so cutting out processed carbs virtually eliminates all of those things that are so yummy but empty calories. I only eat potatoes or starchy vegis once or twice a month but I do eat high-fiber berries.

Have no clue, but when you find out, please let me know. I like low carbing, but there comes that time when you want a piece of cheesecake or lemon pie. You know?

I agree with Kenna. I cut way down on carbs, cut junk food out, drink a lot of water, and exercise. I don't really follow a diet. I eat better, less, stick to an eating schedule and make good choices. Going to the extreme on anything only backfires.

I weigh myself once or twice a week. If I get 4-5 pounds over my average weight I cut back on portion sizes, eat healthier and keep a food diary to count calories. This has helped me not let things get out of hand. I have an 80/20 rule. Eat clean and healthy 80% of the week and splurge the other 20%. So for me I eat clean all week and then eat what I want on Saturday night and Sunday morning. If I have a celebration to go to, that will be my 20% and I have to eat clean Saturday night. Make sense? I also workout 5-6 days a week. I’m 47 and weight the same as I did in my 20’s.

Easiest would probably be just eat real food, nothing from a container, bag, box, etc. One smal bowl of processed food can quickly become 500+ calories. It would take more than 10 cups of veggies to add up to that. I think that is a good place to start. Best wishes on your success.
