Is this a NSV? I went to the grocery store to get more bottled water. Passed through the chip isle and saw Ruffles potato chips were buy 1 get one free. I have always watched my money so closely and this deal was very, very tempting. I almost gave in. But knew I would spend the next couple days eating potato chips. And since I didn't lose weight last week, it's very important to show a loss next Sunday. So no chips. BUT I did decide to buy a gallon of fat free milk for my morning hot chocolate. Don't like it so much with almond milk. Although I am trying to eliminate dairy, I had decided that I would allow myself just one gallon a month. Lasts a week to 10 days.

The other day, I did a really, really dumb thing. I got home from a friends house and parked in front of the garage door. Was listening to something on the radio and when it ended I turned off the ignition. Realized the car was rolling and it rolled right into the garage door! I didn't put the car into park. I'm never a distracted driver, but often a distracted parker. The car has damage on the front corner. Two panels would have to be replaced if repaired. But the car is 10 years old and I don't want my insurance company to know what I did. Anyway, someone is coming over today to see about getting a new garage door. Not what I've been saving my money for.

Well you could say the chip money saved is going for the garage door. Well done nsv passing on them and choosing. Give and take.

Sounds like a good NSV to me! I've been buying some chips on sale for my lad who takes his lunch to school. Shocking how tempting they can be and how the calories add up! So sorry about the parking/not parked accident. Gosh, what a pain. Hope the cost isn't too high... If your trees would have trimmed themselves that would have helped!

What's NVS?

That's most definitely a NSV. Oopps on the car. I hope the cost isn't too terribly much. Sunnie-NSV is a non scale victory.

Bella - well, I'm saving money not buying soda. But would take lots of chips to pay for the new garage door! Melissa and Moopie - my problem with chips is I can't eat just a few. Otherwise those little bags for lunch bags would be nice to have once in awhile. If I eat them, I eat way too many. Thanks everyone else. Will be around $1600 for new door, BECAUSE in California (of course) new requirements due to fires, require that whenever you get a new garage door you have to get a new garage door opener with battery backup. Well, I am trying to get the house ready to sell so a new door will look nice.

I feel real bad about the car. It's 10 years old and was in perfect condition. When I bought it new I got all the upgrades, sun roof, leather seats, seat warmers, etc, etc. Thought I could sell it, am ready for a newer car - maybe one that lets you know when you are about to hit something! Can't imagine any one buying it, although you have to really look to see the damage.
