I really like words to be spelled correctly- I like correct grammar. I have a shirt that says, "I'm silently correcting your grammar." I know that is a bit much maybe and I feel bad when I wear it because it seems rude so it has become a last resort- haven't done laundry- shirt. The whole reason for writing- well-2 reasons- the 1st being that I don't want to get off the couch and take my fat ass to work so I am PROCRASTINATING... The second reason is I hate how to spell the word binging. Don't you feel like it should be bingeing? The google home mini says BINGING. To me, that rhymes with SINGING. So I plan to put an E in binging and I don't care who says it's wrong. To me it is like spelling refrigerator and then saying fridge. Maybe not exactly the same but anyhow. Deep thoughts. Happy Friday! Hitting the gym after work to make July 19th my 19th day straight- as planned until I can't go at the end of the month. I don't think anyone cares, but I am trying to make this post more relevant to this website. P.s. I have a typo in my "roller rink, learning to skate again" post and it drives me crazy. Probably will find one in here after I hit enter. 🙄😜

Banging all night sounds way more fun than binging. 😜 Velvetee...why do you know so many languages? Is that pretty common in Europe or are you special? Please tell me you're special. Don't blow the image I have of you. 😁

Completely get it Princess. When I was looking for property to buy, if the realtor's grammar or spelling was bad, I would dismiss the listing. Not too smart, could have missed a good deal, but I am who I am. Bad grammar and messy rooms pictured were my deal breakers. I have many more, but don't want to take up space on your entry. 😉😃👍

See! I banged all weekend and now my ankle are sore. Anyone who can speak Russian and understand English is special. I think I can order beer and chicken in 5 languages though.

Sarah omg that is freaking hilarious! That made the whole post for me. There are so many that are just wrong. I really appreciated this resume o that I received. The woman had been a CNA or something and she was saying she had a lot of patients. I'm almost certain that, in the context in which she wrote it, she meant patience... But the fact that either fit was fun for me. I had another where the person has previously worked with drug attics. 😂

One that drives me crazy ~ "I seen her the other day'. What?

Drug attics! Good one! I heard years ago that English is called (no disrespect) a bastard language, because it's a mix of many different languages. Makes rules hard to apply across the board. I think that's why emojis were invented. 🤪

Babyjo, that grammar crime is only allowed if you love the person. A grand niece does that. ❤

Debris where the "s" is heard is a NC Outer Banks word I've heard. I had to ask the guy to describe it to me. The stuff floating around is what?!?

@dp I started to travel at 3 and by 20 I visited close to 20 countries including 6 long adventures. I was fluent in Spanish too at some point (when I was a teen => Spanish speaking environment) but I stopped practicing long ago so meh. Same with Italian. I started to learn Russian at 7 too. Long story short, I got my first masters at 21 in triple linguistics (French, English and Russian) + a parallel certification that allows me to teach French and English as a second language. Something I finally never did because groups are not my thing. I am indeed special because I am a highly functioning autist. I wish I was normal actually.

I think we are one in the same. I just read your comment about eating 4 pieces of toast if there is nothing indulgent around. That is my go to move, although yesterday I was able to limit it to 2 pieces of toast (most likely because it was whole wheat and not sourdough!)

Someone once sent our office a resume with a cover letter indicating that she was applying for "the Ass. Director" position.
