Help...
I was doing KETO for a while and lost weight but now I want to get back into just regular eating. I went from 118 to now 124, any ideas to not get all the fat back?
I will be adding my protein shakes in the AM or PM again and some healthy fruits.
Thanks

You need a calorie deficit to lose weight, are you counting religiously your calories?

@crashtestdawnie has been doing a great job going from Keto to regular eating without gaining, check her out. 😊

I have lost many pant sizes of water already

Yeah, I know that carbs will make me about 5lbs of water heavier. That is how it goes.

I'd suggest you ditch the protein shakes and instead just eat healthy meals... Count your calories and be on a deficit. It'll work out. Good luck!

I'm in KETO now (and I enjoy it).
What has worked in the past, when I eased off of full Keto, was to keep my diet focused on mostly proteins and greens (w/ healthy fats) during the weekdays, then kinda of "let my hair down" during the weekend. This allowed me to enjoy other, carby meals if I wanted, BUT also ensured that MOST of my diet (the other 5 days of the week) supported a lean body and not the other way around.
On full Keto, there were more strict guidelines for the weekend. I got 1-day of high-carb/low fat (to replenish muscle glycogen levels w/o putting on body fat), then it was back to full Keto the rest of the 6 days.
But when I relax my Keto diet, I keep a Keto'ish diet during the week, then allowed myself to have a little fun on the weekend (nothing crazy, but if I wanna eat pizza or some hearty Italian food AND dessert...I do. And I know that come Monday - Friday, it's gonna be all gym and good ol' protein and greens. And I've been successful that way in the past).

For me; going off keto, I always go on an insane carb binge and then I get my shit together and re lose a lot of the water weight I gain 😅😅😅😅😅😅 You will gain a few pounds from water. That’s okay. I just try to keep my fat low while eating a lot of carbs. That seems to work pretty well.

As long as you're watching calories and they are below your burn it's impossible to add fat.

It's natural to have weight fluctuations. Maintenance weight is not static. Every day is different. Maintain a calorie deficit to lose weight. It's how much you eat as oppose to what you eat. Think CICO...

try to eat fruit only before lunch, low carbs , no sodas any kind no even diet, because those are the worse

oh and definitely much better if you cook something, then a shake,

Verito, there is no magical time of day where certain macros are better or worse and diet sodas are also not detrimental.

Sure, you right, but if you est fruit in the afternoon is hard to burn the sugar, that's why is recommended just in the morning, and if you don eat bread, pasta, etc.... You would loose weight, sodas are the worse for yor body, regular , diets,. Try it you would feel better and loose weight too.

Keto maintenance is easy. Gradually increase your calories, preferably by increasing healthy fats, until you stop losing. If you are not insulin resistant / type 2 diabetic, you can also increase carbs judiciously.
