Tried a morning smoothie with heavy cream and almond milk. Interesting flavour profile...

BUT. The large amount of fat definitely helps with the full feeling. Going to play with the ratio of almond milk and the cream until I hit the right balance for me.

Also, it was amusing to put it all in my blender bottle; I think all the shaking nearly made it into whipped cream. Oops. lol.

Lessons learned so far:

1. This strict keto thing really requires dedication. Still learning to balance the macros right, but aside from missing potatoes and rice (I really tried but I honestly can't do the cauliflower thing), I still have bacon and eggs.

2. Need avocados.

3. I need a viable substitute for Canada Dry Ginger Ale; that is one of the few things I can stomach dealing with migraine-induced nausea.

Can you add some ginger to some sparkling water maybe with a bit of lemon. I like my keto but overall I think I eat pretty normal and just cutting out the starches and sweets

i like to roast radishes seasoned, or use then in soups. the other day I made them into "hashbrowns". I never was a fan of potatoes except for scalloped and McDonalds fries lol. In my year on keto I cannot get enough cooked radish. radish loses all of its pepper flavor when cooked, and takes on the flavor of what it is marinated/seasoned with. for gingerale try ginger tea, or fresh ginger in water with some sweetener of choice....or go and buy diet gingerale 😁
