SoCalPam's Journal, 27 Sep 18

I finally dropped that stubborn pound!!! I've been on a three-pound gain/lose spiral for the past few weeks. I am now at the weight I was prior to the birth of my first son -- in 1993. I feel good :)

Interesting... I went out for sushi with hubby last night and had 3 potstickers (fried), a cucumber salad, and 3 pieces of spider roll. It wasn't a lot of food, but I felt satisfied. We did some minor grocery shopping and came home and I went into a feeding frenzy. I ate half a glazed doughnut and the tail end of a French baguette with butter. A lot of butter. I have no idea what got into me. Then this morning I'm a little less. I can't figure out my body.

Technical question: I tried to input my weight and journal entry here using my computer. FS won't let me enter the weight because it's too big of a drop from yesterday (this has happened to me several times). It will let me do it on my phone, though, so that's what I did today. Weird.

I find that when we eat out I tend to want to binge when we get home. I’m wondering if it’s the preservatives they use. Maybe it speeds up digestion therefore we don’t stay satisfied as long. Chinese and chicken places/fast food are the worst for me. Anywhere that I get bread and meat will keep me full.

I think that Peerperjj is on to something. Must be the msg which triggers our dopamine level in our brains, which makes us want more, like an addict. It's just a guess. Congratulations on the lbs you've finally lost. Very discouraging to hit plateaus. Glad you had the strenght of character to stick to see it through and keep reaching for your goals!
