Still not seeing where I said it isn't smarter to eat nutritious foods. Yes, satiety and more nutrients are preferable. Just posting this so people will stop beating themselves up when they have occasional treats. I myself incorporate treats often but not everyone can handle that.

And it is only significant if you go all one way or the other. If you're eating nothing but pop tarts or donuts, you're dieting wrong. It's possible but not advised. 90 calories to me is practically nothing. To someone eating 1200 a day it can be significant though. Again, only if you go with 100% refined grains as they did in the study.
