Jipper500's Journal, 09 May 18

I'd appreciate it if the mods would post this journal entry because I want some feedback from the members.

I'm trying to figure out the approximate weight of the "fat (excess skin) suit" and the fat directly attached to it. Deducting that means I'm down to just fixing that with time and I'm pretty close to a normal weight.

So, what is the wt of the fat suit? It has to be at least 20 lbs, for me, maybe 25 or 30??? but I doubt it's that much. SO, (for example), if I'm at 178, and deduct the 22 pounds, that makes 156. The upper normal limit for my ht (64"), age, sex is 145.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Maybe watch some episodes of the TLC show "Skin Tight" online and see if they say after the surgeries what the weight was of the tissues excised in each surgery. I watched that show a couple of times, and it seemed like the people had to have multiple removal surgeries because it was too much to remove safely at one time. You could also see how the pre-surgery bodies compare to your current body to get an idea of how comparable the total weight removed would be.

Maybe I'll do that. I think it's about 20-25 lbs. I'm going to think long term about getting the rest off. Not having surgery, can't afford it and don't want it.

I too have watched that show. in fact it's on tonight. it all depends on how much you've lost, how resilient your skin is and how fast you lost it. From what I've seen the skin does not weigh that much. for example I've seen the drs take only 5-10 lbs off a person who lost nearly 300 lbs and had a skin apron. I've also seen 14 lbs taken off someone who lost 200. just so many variables. I haven't seen anyone lose 22+ lbs of skin but again depends on the individual person
