Thinking about adding some exercise to my routine.

Having ptsd, auto immune issues and food allergies I tend to have some chronic fatigue and adrenal fatigue... so working out sounds so awful usually. But I have a pretty little yoga mat that needs more using and some kettle bells that need to be dusted off!

Wish me luck...

Also it’s Harry Potter night, who here is a Potter Head?! My kids are huge fans and this means they have to dress up and go to the trivia night at the book store... should be fun!!

Definitely a Harry Potter fan here! I've found a youtube site called HASfit and it's a husband and wife and they've got lots of fitness videos, all levels and all amounts of time, from 15-60 minutes. Some of their videos you use weights and some you don't. And they always show modified versions of what they do. I love them because they are just regular people and I love their style. Look up HASfit on YouTube and see what you think. Start slow and Good Luck!! Sometimes movement/ excercise is just what your body needs, even when it doesn't feel like it.

@draglist, I read the first four back in 1999 🙈 my 9yo read all of them in a week!!! 😳 we watched all the movies and then went to Harry Potter world a few times. My youngest was dobbie for Halloween and my oldest was Rosie Weasley. So they plan to dress up tonight too 😊

@jennifer awesome, I’ll look into those. I worked at a gym and I know lots of great exercises, it’s just the motivation and energy to do them 😩 I also had a freak vacuuming accident the other day and can’t wear shoes, busted my toe open when the vac fell on my foot, it’s just a plastic shark vac, when it was falling I didn’t move because I didn’t expect that 🤦‍♀️ probably should have gotten stitches 🤷‍♀️

@murph I don’t know if I’ll be able to do the “real” gym setting ever again... working at a gym, the vibes, fake people and also the trauma I experienced while working in one... it’s just a real ugly place to me now. But I have a stationery bike for cycling, weights, I am really contemplating getting a squat rack and a yoga trapeze though. I’ve been soaking the toe often and keeping it sealed up. To keep it germ free I even wrap my toe in plastic and rubber band it when I shower 🤣🤷‍♀️

Oh my goodness the chronic fatigue. I've had to change my workouts over the years from what I want to do, to what I can do and not fall over be bedridden for the next day. Slow swimming and walking have become my thing. And I have at home strength training program for days when it's just too much to do something out the house. I'm thinking about getting a bike trainer to get some indoor low impact cardio. Hope you find something that helps, is there a harry potter workout?

I keep telling my BF we need to move closer to Disneyland because when I used to go every week I was so fit, lol just walk around for hours and carry kids and push heavy strollers. Also the location of my house is a bummer, major roadways and not easy to just go for a stroll around the neighborhood, we basically have to drive somewhere to go for a walk...

Yes lifestyles make such a difference. I always try to live close to where I work so I don't drive everyday. I walk to work in subzero weather, as long as I'm layered I'm good to go. I have to get to work anyway and I know at a minimum I've walked 1 mile 5 days a week.

WOW! from what your saying you've practically have everything you need.l'd stay at home to if l could. My brother slowly built his home gym up and it's really stocked down in basement. The problem he lives 1200 miles away.haha Stay Healthy.

@murph my sister and her husband train people in CrossFit out of their home and have a pretty awesome set up, but they live three hours away and I am not into CrossFit though. I basically have everything I need to work out... except the energy and motivation... My daughter’s great uncle lives in my town and has the coolest gym set up at his house... I’ve been tempted to ask to use it, he told me I could, but I don’t like to ask people for stuff like that...
