I’m discouraged...honestly not cheating but weight just keeps going up. Retaining water (especially bad each morning) been drinking 64-80oz water a day and taking electrolyte supplements. Any advice?

I have only been drinking when I've been thirsty these past seven (almost eight) months... normal days are about 24 oz. of water. You could start there... by the way, if you're engaged in STRENGTH TRAINING, you will add weight (builds muscle). I only engage in AEROBIC activities, as I only want to exercise one muscle (my heart). It works for me... pretty well if you peek at my stats.

Thanks guys for the support! Different things work for different people. This keto woe is new to me...if it doesn’t work for me, I’ll try something else. Going to give it a good 4 weeks (this is the start of my 3rd week) and then adjust. (I do some aerobic and strength exercises 3-4 times a week🙂)

What are you volunteering me for now darling brother! lol They way I see it Momma6224 most women have bodies that gain weight because of carbs, they stick like glue! If you keep feeding your body carbs it goes to sleep. But if you stop or cut down the carbs to 20 or under your body looks elsewhere for energy to burn. The body turns to your stored body fat and uses this for energy. This process no matter what diet your on will bring you into ketosis. After you have been in ketosis (people differ as to how long it takes) you will become "fat adapted". Once you are fat adapted the fat will continue to melt away, your ketones will register lower and your brain will love you. The one thing that will kick you out of ketosis is too many carbs. Hope that helps! Good luck on your journey!

Don't be discouraged. I see many people post that they have periods of time that they stall on weight loss. Hang in there. Many people are losing inches during the periods.
