ColourMeFabulous's Journal, 08 Nov 17

So it's near the end of the day and trying to get rid of chocolate in my place. I can't just throw it out! I know some may say "You can do it..go to the outdoor garbage bins and throw them out".
I just can't do it. I have no shame of my love for chocolate. I'm willing to suffer the consequences. I'll get rid of it as slowly as I can
That's how I'm thinking about it.
I know I don't have alot of pounds to lose but it's been a long journey for me. I've been up and down the last couple of years...embarressed to come on my Fat Secret account. I carried alot of shame.
Now I'll bare it all in my journals. Be honest with myself and my food diary entries.
Tomorrow's another day.
Be Good to myself!

I would gladly sacrifice myself and eat all of your chocolate.

If you are serious about your goal then toss it! Discipline is like a muscle, the more you train it the stronger it gets.

I don't believe in deprivation, too easy to just say "to heck with it, you only live once!" as I have done several times. This time around, I allow myself what I want, BUT I fit it into my calorie count, I will only have one, for instance, and then save the rest knowing I can have another one another day. I think planning is important, and getting right back to your normal eating plan right away, as if you didn't eat one chocolate bar. Or half a chocolate bar. I have a 85% chocolate bar in my bedside table. If I have a bit of calories leftover at the end of the day, I will have one square (about 20 calories). Satisfies my chocolate need (and chocolate IS good for you!, and I don't need more. Probably because it isn't really sweet, the chocolate taste really comes through. So you do what pleases you, then jump right back to your diet plan. I've lost a bit over 60lbs in the last year, and feel great.

I LOVE chocolate too..... Here's a suggestion:. Don't throw it away.... Give it away! I can't bring myself to waste food so when I find something that doesn't work for me - I give it to other people! I made some delicious brownies that sat on the counter calling my name and I had the hardest time resisting that siren call so...I packed those sassy little critters up and went visiting to the neighbors! I got calls for the recipe too which was nice. And I got exercise walking around the neighborhood! Win/win/win!!
