Happy Friday Buddies! Weekends are a challenge for me, diet-wise. I always seem to make poorer choices than I do during the week. Here's hoping that we all tap into our self-control and make good choices this weekend and remember not only how far we've come, but also keep our end goal in the front of our mind.

Good job on the loss! I think a lot of us have more problems on weekends, because of so many social functions that involve food! At least, I know that's my problem - I do the best I can when I have little or no control of the menu offered and get back on track Monday, hopefully without having done too much damage!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has the same problems! Who ever thought I would be glad to see Monday come??? LOL

Nice reminder, weekends are weekly holidays, and like regular observed holidays can be dangerous territory for any way of eating. Don't forget 4th of July festivities are right around the corner, now is the time to be conceiving alternatives to the usual fare!

I am disabled due to lower lumbar problems. My neuro / spinal surgeon did not recommend surgery but weight loss to improve my condition. I need to lose 40 pounds. I have a solid diet plan and am motivated to stick with it.

Yep... it's all about balance and good choices. I am going to see my fave band at a local bar Sunday afternoon and am already planning on buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dressing and a vodka soda with a splash of grapefruit juice and a couple limes.... as opposed to my previous faves, nachos and a margarita. I'm still going to have fun, listen to music, enjoy good friends and good food, but the negative impact will likely be a bit less with these new, more informed choices. #willnevergiveupplaytime #smarterchoices ;)

There's always "fun" foods to be had. Unbreaded hot wings (and really, authentic buffalo wings are "naked") and guacamole are my party favorites. Chicharonnes with salsa verde are another LCHF-friendly alternative!
