Yesterday was the bday party and I own my choices. There weren't any good ones offered but I started the day with pancakes with the little one so it wasn't completely the party's fault. The party was supposed to be an outdoor one - and it rained. ALL DAY. But not until we had much of the decorations and tables and chairs and the bounce houses set up.

So I helped the other (freaking) grandmother to move things from outside to inside for 30+ people when people were not originally going to be entertained indoors and we made it happen. Next year, we're doing it SOMEWHERE where they set up, serve and clean up!! :)

Hoping that today will stay dry as promised. This starts correction (and dealing with my feeling of a carb hangover!) and huge amounts of water for the next couple days.
