I almost threw out my scale today (and still may). I got on this am, got 181.8, which I was really ok with. Checked it again to make sure, got 183.0....tie breaker came up 186.0????? New batteries...186.0??? YEAH NO. Left it for 30 minutes, came back to 183.6. It's the most reasonable option given so I'll take that.

It makes me wonder though whether this scale is even close to accurate or if it's having "a day"...so frustrating. We'll see over the next day or two how it plays. If it's still all over the place, I'll get a new scale and deal with whatever it says. It would be worse (in my brain) to have really been 3-4 lbs heavier than I thought. I know in reality it doesn't matter, my body has the same mass it did, it's just the measurement but JEEZ!!!

Anyway...lol. Off to have coffee and get ready for work. Have a good day buddies...

I had the same issue with my scale over the past few weeks so I bit the bullet and bought a new one. Didn't like the reading on the new scale but at least it is consistent and I will deal with it!

I am SOOOOO not looking forward to that. I have this (irrational) fear that I'm going to be up like 4-7 lbs and it'll be like I've gained (in my head). Oh well. Change is good, transition sucks lol. I'll see what this one does for the next day or so. If it does it again, I'll suck it up and get a new one. Which one did you end up getting?

I use the scale at the gym. They have one of those big sliding ones like dr office and they have one that has numbers (not digital). I use once a week and check both to make sure. When I had a scale at home I started obsessing!

I purchased a Health o meter Glass Body Fat scale (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hea... from Walmart for $30. So far I am liking it even if I did go up several pounds on the new scale!

I have a health o meter, but its not one of the new glass type. I have had it for years and it is always right here on the dot with my doctors scale. but I have found if I move it at all, like when I have to mop the bathroom floor, it does not always got back to zero so I always look and make sure it is on zero when I step on. Health o meter is the best brand in my opinion and they last forever.

I take a few of my hand held weights like 2 5lbs and a 3 and 4 lb. set on the scale to see what it comes up too. it is always right just got to make sure it goes back to zero.
