OKKKKK, Finally I get to post the IT scale number on the FS Ticker :-) It is good to see IT go down! Hopefully IT will continue in the downward trend. Even if IT does fluctuate up/down/all around a little I will continue with this woe since it seems to help me eat 'mindfully' with is a challenge with me. One big challenge I see is stopping myself from eating as I'm preparing my meals and also eating in-between meals and night snacking. So just paying attention and stopping those habits has been helpful. Last night almost brought a big temptation as a friend came over for a walk and movie and said he was going to bring a bottle of wine but forgot. WOW, am i glad he forgot, I just told him "I am on a special eating plan right now, and even though I do like having my wine, I really can't right now, but thank you for the thought". In the past I probably would not have admitting not drinking right now and if he had remembered, we would have had the whole bottle and then that would have set me up for eating off my plan for the rest of the weekend. SO thank you to ME for recognizing it and voicing my not 'wanting' the 'treat'. Yes, I know I probably should not call it a 'treat' but again I am trying to be realistic and know that I will have wine again someday, just not today :-) Today & tomorrow should be ok days. Since we started walking I think I will continue that, it was really nice last night. Monday might be an issue, I am off (unexpectly swiched work day with coworker) and I am being taken out for dinner, put it off as long as I could, for my BDay with a couple of friends. So I am going to find out where they are taking me, scope out the menu ahead of time and try to keep the meal as close to my woe as possible. The only 'bump in the plan' might be the grapefruit juice, which I think I'll 'sneak' in a small container and drink before the meal at the restaurant. I think I can pull it off.
