Up and Down I went but never reaching under 160 lbs. I have found it nearly impossible to stick to any diet variation and feel terrible for the way I have failed constantly for the past few years. This time I am taking things seriously. I am going to look at what people who are 120 lbs eat (on here) and then follow that.

I am starting to feel the problems associated with being overweight and one of them is pain and discomfort and injury when exercizing. The weight is standing in the way of my goals of hiking, travelling, living a long life, and wearing the clothing I want.

Today is the start of a yet another journey but one where I am more committed than ever.

here's a trick, eat what you want as long as you are within your calories allowance.

I hope you find success. I think being able to let go of that negative feeling towards yourself will be key to positive change, negative self talk keeps us stuck. My experience is a lot of rigid diets are not sustainable, and lead to a sense of failure and negative relationship with food. I agree with madri1 for this reason.

I am consistently able to stay under 120lb and I eat a whole foods plant based diet. I don’t treat it as a “diet” but rather as a lifestyle as it’s truly what makes me feel my best and I still get to enjoy foods I love

I think you can add to much pressure on yourself. Madri1 is correct try and stay in your calorie level and eat what you want. exercise more if possible i bought a pool pass and try and swim walk 4 times a week I stalled as well but git back to it. You have people that believe in you on here trust your gut and you will do fine..

I also have a plant based fodmap diet... Not for the health benefit but because of my vows. But otherwise, don't overthink it, don't look for a silver bullet, be patient and trust the process.

I agree that a whole foods way of eating as well as it being just as much mental as it is physical. Once I can quiet the negative self talk and start to believe in myself a bit more it will be easier. Just so many options and diets to choose from.
