Wow! Finally broke through that 2 month plateau or whatever it was. All I know it that I had been gaining and losing the same 3 lbs for months. But in the last 3 days I have lost 2.5 lbs. But I know it’s water weight because I’ve been weeing a lot more the past few days. Has this ever happened to others on the site? If so, I would love to hear from you.
79.8 kg Lost so far: 7.6 kg.    Still to go: 5.0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 3.2 kg a Week

I have it happen a lot. My body gets used to my weight and likes to stay there. I have to make changes to move it.

It's called a whoosh. When we first lose the actual fat out of fat cells, they fill with water. If the fat is not restored after X amount of time, the water from the fat cells are then released.

Hello Forum. I Just signed up October 8, 2023, 5:20 PM. Eastern time zone. The first thing I read was about ZenusWarriorPrincess’s two month break through. Funny, that’s why I signed up this afternoon, because after two months on my plan I was having zero success and this was precisely what I needed to hear. I guess if I don’t grow weary in well doing, I will reap the rewards.

Jessmira, to post you make an entry in your journal, make sure you have set your settings to where folks can comment on your journal so we can offer you support. When you enter your food you should see down at the bottom your macro percentages and what remains of your RDI. Or if on the phone app, go to reports and look at today

My plateaus are usually from dropping my calories too low. If I dip below 1300-1400, the weight loss stops. I have to get 1400 to 1500 to keep losing. Best of luck!

@SO DUNAMIS... Welcome to FS. 🙂 I am so honored. Where did you read that on my page? I support everyone here, regardless of their plan. The one piece of advice I would give, though, is that if your plan isn't working, it is always best to try something else vs. giving up. Good luck to you on your journey! 💜

Yes I was the same for 2/3 months I couldn’t pass 191 but finally hit 189 and it’s been 187/189 for the last 3 weeks but all we can do is keep going

ZWP… you asked where I read about your break through plateau… I simply saw the forum and your comment. I still haven’t taken time to study and learn how to maneuver around here. The main thing I was looking for when I signed up was food items and their calories & macros that kind of thing and so far, I haven’t even found that. Meanwhile, I am positive I will figure it out eventually and know that I can ask for directions from you all.

Yes, i am currently at a maintenance weight but for past few weeks i go up a pound, down a pound, up a pound down a pound almost daily. For the most part calories are consistent so makes no sense. I weigh at same time daily as well. Congrats on the loss!

Also, when i was stuck during the losing phase of this journey i would either double up on my walks (twice a day) or drop another couple hundred calories for a few days. That usually provoked a drop but it does get slower as you get closer to healthy weight.
