That's right LeahB11, it has happened to all of us at one point or another. While I am trying to keep myself accountable here, I also want to say that I am grateful to see how supportive the FS community is with each other. 🙏😊

I can relate. My DD bought me treats - 8 chocolate bars, 2 pies and 2 bags of chips. Hum: not weight loss friendly. I put on 2.5 lbs in 2 days! Maybe I should eat them all and get them out of the way then start again with my meal plan. I still do the treadmill

Thanks for sharing and good for you on the accountability to yourself. We’ve all been there.

Hi Margatyna 👋. I agree with you. Sometimes, weight loss feels more like a mystery rather than a science haha.

Hi sweetiebird 🐦. Thats sounds like it would totally make you gain such weight. Sometimes I say the same to myself... "I'll finish the treats, so I can get them out of the way". Although for the most part I try not to keep much at home. Oh well, we just gotta keep trying :).

Hi halfmoon189 🌙. Thank you! As we know weight loss journey is not a straight downward line. It has ups and downs. We just gotta keep doing the good work :)

Same. I transitioned to Cheerios, Wheaties, or bran cereal flakes, added fruits and stevia. Add your fav milk and would help keep those nightingale cravings away. Now I’m doing yogurt water protein with fruit shakes. ☺️

Yup, I can relate. Up 1.5 lbs. this week. Hubby likes to keep treats around.

Hi TheNewVictor! 👋 Yeah, there are healthier options, but at the end of the day its all about portion control too.

Hi PrairieSue! 👋 I understand, its tough when your family is eating all those treats in front of you. It feels like it's not fair, but it isn't fair to them not to eat them either. 🤷♀️

I hear you. Yes, it’s important to be accountable for our actions. I wonder why we eat more when we feel guilty. I constantly sabotage myself. I’ve lost about 500 lbs in my lifetime. I lost 20+ kilos the last time. That was probably the tenth time I’d lose those same 20 kilos. As soon as someone says that I look great I start eating more. The more people say I look awesome the more I eat until I’d gain the weight back. Self-sabotaging. Kind of weird, right???

This morning I found my measurements record from September 30 2021. Well I weigh 3 lbs less and my measurements are the same/less and more depending on the area measured all 6 of them. My BMI is .1 higher.
In that 2 years there has been many ups and down but never made it to 199. I am committed to see it this year. This is where the .5 pound a week comes in. Now, how more reasonable could that goal be???
I'm good at staying positive and not easily discouraged. This is probably why I'm still on this site writing to you all.
I will not give up on myself!!! BMI is still in the obese in case you haven't guessed - LOL

Hi Geri1955, I know, Self sabotaging is real! I think the majority of us who struggle to loose weight its because we see food or certain kinds of food as a reward. Its psychological and emotional. I was watching a TED TALK and they mentioned three main driving emotions: physical and/or emotional pain, fear, guilt. So we use food as a painkiller, an escape, and a punishment. Not to mention all the other physiological factors that make our body to work against us every time we want to drop a few pounds. Its definitely not easy work, but we just gotta keep trying. 🙂
