Well I wasn't going to weigh until Monday because I started my induction challenge this past Monday but its been 2 weeks today that I began low carb and a gf of mine ask me how it was going with low carb so I got on the scale to satisfy her curiosity lol
Im so happy to report Im out of the 150s Im 149.5 as of today yay!
I will still weigh Monday to see how my induction challenge went.
Im feeling very energized lately, the weather here is very nice in low 60s that makes a huge difference for my motivation Ive kept very busy Ive been spring cleaning and planning to start doing yard work,
and when intakes less, my weight goes down.
I just want this year to not go crazy around the holidays with my intake, I want this year in the fall to not begin to gain the 20 something lbs. before winters end. Its not healthy for me and I get discourage how my clothes fit if they fit at all, and so that will be another new goal for me to set.
67.8 kg Lost so far: 2.5 kg.    Still to go: 8.8 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Wow, good for you! Bet you're excited to see what Monday brings! We still have a bunch of snow here so no yard work yet but I heard some morning doves this morning so I'm hopeful!

Thank you fat2foxy, yeah we just started getting rid of that snow but Im not complaining because Im in southern Ohio and I feel really bad for the folks north of us. Its just 2 weeks but this induction I believe is just the kick in my back side that I needed. Wishing you warm weather and tons of sunshine my friend.

You inspire me! But I have a question. I need to eat another 400 calories today and can't decide what to have that is low carb. Any suggestions? And not to brag, but I'm in WA and the weather is beautiful. Started on some yard work a couple weeks ago. :)

Thank you SailorG and its not bragging that's just happiness in its purest form... sunshine. I keep on mu hubby about moving south of here, I love warm weather. Im not sure about your 400 low carb calories though, have you had your dinner yet? I have been eating large salads at nights with a protein but not more that 6oz of protein during my meal. Ive been drinking over half my weight in water oz. daily and not dinking diet soda at all, 1 cup of coffee with cream and 1 sweetner is all I drink now. Maybe you can post your question we have some wonderful people here with great suggestions for you.

And that is why I have never gone back to the other low carb site that I was on in the very beginning...The best, most supportive, caring people seem to me have all gathered here on FS, and it just warms my heart to know such a large group of wonderful people exist.

So proud of syndi55 for her progress, it is now my motivation. I will try to drink the my weight in oz, seems like a good idea. SailorG, I went online and got a couple of ideas for 400 cal low carbs: 3 meatballs, turkey meatloaf, chicken breast with eggplant,I went on Sparkpeople and also some chilli. I am also happy to have you lovely people in this group which give me ideas to add to my lifestyle change, I have realized that is what I need to do. xoxox

Thank you skinnysmile I knew from the day one FS when I requested you for my buddy and spoke with you that you are a very special person. As Ive said before its just been 2 weeks and losing like I have is normal when you are doing induction. The 1/2 your weight in water oz is a great idea, a friend of mine lost a lot of weight and told me it was her rule of thumb. And I know you will do it my friend.

well done on the loss! all this sunshine and its snowing in my part of England!! dead jealous. i have just discovered i can make cheese scones...i know i'm a late developer...with coconut and almond flour and they are to die for warm with butter on, great for a snack.

Thank you drullae, Im very curious how you make you cheese scones they sound delicious. Im in the induction phase of Atkins, there are foods that are not acceptable so Im sure I cant make them now but Im planning to prepare for what I can have after the induction, when Im in the next stage. I just read in the, A new Atkins made easy book, that I can be on the induction phase until Im 15 lbs. from goal weight so I have about 5 lbs. to go. I would love to send you some sunshine to England but today here in Southern Ohio is going to be a rainy day, Im sending to you happiness and peace in your day anyway:)

Hi drullae, skinnysmile here, I would love to make the cheese scones, married to a celiac yorkshireman here in America. I will check to see if I can access your recipe. I am a baker and have a hard time adjusting the coconut flour to regular recipes because of how dense it comes out. Have a wonderful day everyone.

they are heavy Skinnysmile i find all my almond and coconut recipes tend to be on the dense side. but very filling so don't need big portions! how on earth did you get a yorkshireman out the north??!! this coming from a Lancashire lass...Lol
