Well, well. There’s a long list of snacks and other indulgences I’ve been avoiding lately to finally get here, below my stated FS goal. In reality I’d like to lose another 16 pounds but the closer I get, the slower it goes. Since January my activity level has improved but I’m thinking it’s still not strenuous enough. I do log my exercise here for counting purposes but do not trust the estimates of calories burned. On Monday and Tuesday my usual fitness classes are cancelled so I’m already planning a bike ride instead. Wish I felt safe enough to go by myself as I used to but these are the times in which we live. Grateful today for my health, blessed family, and supportive community here. Hope everyone is having a great week! Remember to take care of yourself, because no one knows what you need better than you.

I can relate to the "LONG LIST", I also have stayed strong against temptation but WOW the 'idiot box' (scale) on the floor does not want to register a lower figure and it drives me nuts. But I will keep on keeping on. Thank you for comments on my journal post, I was beginning to wonder if anyone out there reads them, lol. Take care & stay safe.

JMA ~ I purposely did not list the items so as to not give anyone ideas! We all have those food items that are hard to resist. And the scale? That’s another annoying subject right there. But I am not giving up! As for your posts, did you change your settings recently? Someone else commented on another post that you were set to private. Not sure if I’m seeing your posts only because you accepted my follow request or if everyone can see you now as well.

I don't trust the calories out either. The math doesn't add up. It does help for accountability, though.

I've found that weight/strength training can really kick up that metabolism when the weight loss slows down. Maybe you're already doing this :) keep up the good work!

Emma, thanks for the support and suggestion. In January I started taking some exercise classes at the senior center but it’s more cardio and flexibility than strength. I have been looking at my records and find that the last time I lost at least 3 pounds in a month was in October, before I added the senior fitness! Average daily calories between 1200-1300 consistently since I’ve been tracking on this app. The one statistic that stands out is that in the past I’ve done the best between May and August (14 lb in 2021, 12 lb in 2022). The only thing can attribute that to is walking and bike riding, neither of which has happened much lately. So, analysis done 😁 now I have a theory to work from.
