Hi Bren, who knows on the rain, definitely not the meteorologists! LOL! I've been at the 70-pound mark, but not for very long. I'm just in the process of doing some assessment on what I need to tweak, as it feels as if my scale is stuck. It isn't but it FEELS that way. Hopefully, it's as simple as getting my calories back into the 1300-1400 range, but I've got to tighten up on a few other things as well. Can't play around with foods as much as I have been over these last couple months. What I've been doing is fine for Maintenance but not so hot for losing. Would rather get back to a pound a week, if I can swing it. Hope you have a great beginning to your work week.

Been raining here for 2 days too. Don"t send more up towards GA:) Great on the walking~!

Actually Melissa, you could send some down this way, as we're still over 50% below what we should have by this point in the year. Don't send the floods or the tornados - just the nice gentle rain. All the thunder today was all bark and no bite; just a few minutes here and there of some sprinkles.

We are 11.38 inches over for the year on rain...it just keeps on coming and coming and coming. My yard is a pond! We had over 4 inches the last 2 days! Glad you got your walk in and hope you have a great week, Sandy.

Sandy - sorry your didn't get your walk in but I am sure you found some way to get some exercise in. More reassessing? That seems to be the buzz word all over FS. Best of luck.

We are supposed to have rain and thunder showers here tomorrow and Wednesday.

Stef, it seems like every time I read your journal, you're getting rain! At least your tomatoes won't get blossom end rot from uneven watering. Hoping for good test results coming back for your dad tomorrow...

BuffyBear, it was OK not getting a walk in on Sunday, as I need to have a day off at least 1x/week. I agree with your journal that portion control needs more emphasis. It's an ongoing difficulty for me, as even my early journal entries last summer stated that I was hungry a lot. I may have to break down and actually do Atkins the way it was intended (LOL!) with all those veggies! Have a good Tuesday.

Paigesgrandma....we're in the midst of having some nearby thunder ourselves. It looks like it's a storm that's just popped up right nearby, just like most of our storms lately. It makes it hard to plan anything, as you can't see them coming!

Yikes Sandy, 1300 - 1400 calories, I don't know about that. That seems sooo darn low, especially for your activitly level. There isn't much to portion control at that level! Gosh, girl - I couldn't do it, or sustain it. You do what you think is good for you & I'll be happy with that if you are! Sorry you are getting all that rain!

Dar, I can appreciate your comments. I certainly wouldn't advocate this range for anyone else, esp. those starting out or even in the early MONTHS of Atkins. If I shoot for 1300-1400, I'm likely to be somewhere in the 1400's which is close enough to the 1500-1800 range for "most" women on Atkins. And, my activity all takes place on those walks - not a whole lot of anything after that! Today, I hopped in the pool afterward and swam a few laps, but we're talking just a few minutes back and forth in a 30' pool....not the kind of pool you're swimming in. Rest of my day is pretty lazy. And, who knows, if I drop the artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols (the "tightening up" I wrote about), and get the veggies into my menus, I may adjust that range upward. Don't feel too bad about our rain - we'll take just about any amount we can get these days!
