CrystalJo74's Journal, 08 Dec 22

Just realized my last weigh-in was exactly 1 month ago...and I'm basically the same weight! Cool! I haven't been adding up my calories, just writing down what I eat. I've stopped logging all the 'extra' info on my smart scale and simply log my daily weight. Still trying for daily exercises & extra NEAT for burning calories & gaining strength/muscle. Perhaps, most importantly...hubby & I have not smoked for 8 days! We want to be as healthy as possible, for as long as possible & to hopefully enjoy a little extra time together here on Planet Earth. 🌎💙💑

So happy to see you. I think when you got that private message, it really dampened your spirits here Crystal and I feel so bad about it. Recently, someone else posted about getting the same and I believe it was the same person but I could be wrong. Whatever the case, I hope your heart is full of joy and congrats on quitting that terrible habit. May 8 turn into 88 and 888 and 8888 ha ha. 👏🏻❤️

@wifey9707 there are some bad apples on here. I have caught flack more than once. And worse, you cannot block people.

There are wisteria. I’ve also seen the attacks on you. I got a private message a while ago from someone that would really surprise people so I kept it hush-hush. I don’t trust a lot of people. Too many wolves in sheep’s clothing these days and use religion as their camouflage. It makes me sick.

CrystalJo, I am happy to see you back. I too, have been gone for a little while...healing from surgery. I am sorry to hear that you received negative messages. Please know that I look forward to seeing your posts. They are wonderfully positive and life-affirming. I also appreciate the work you put into the educational information you used to post. Godspeed with the non-smoking. I know from personal experience that it is a difficult thing to quit. I wish you joy during this holiday season.

Crystal!!!!!! Not SMOKING IS HUGE!!!!! Congratulations! All the rest can take a back seat for now!! (In my humble opinion) lol 😂

@karen: I should have included the same as you said.... the difficulty with quitting the smokes is comparable to quitting heroin (or so they say) So, giving them up is HARD WORK and we are proud of YOU - CrystalJo!!!

Crystal that is excellent! 🎉 You are a strong lady and I have no doubt you will be as successful at quitting smoking, as you have been at gaining back your health. And for the record, I very much enjoy the wonderful things you contribute to our community. 💚

Good to hear you, Crystal. Today, while walking in the evening, I stopped at one spot, took a deep breath, and thought about how blessed I was in this life on Earth. The air was fresh, and the atmosphere around me was healing my mind and body. I prayed for all my Buddhas and Gods. (I am a Buddhist.) And especially for my late parents, who gave me a life. I promised myself again that I would manage myself in good and healthy condition until my last breath. Life is good and precious.

I use the My Cook Book feature on here to list every ingredient in my recipes. Then I weigh it after baking to get how much calories, etc. per ounce. It is a lot of trouble at first, but saves guessing later. However, on things like vegetable soup that you can't really weigh easily, I do what you do and list something similar that is already in the Fat Secret
