((Hugs)) So sorry you and your cat are having such a hard time. Losing a pet is like losing a close family member. I hope you can get your eating under control or you might feel even worse. Please try to concentrate on the good times with your pet.

Under stand the special needs parenting stress, and I'm very sorry about your pup. Condolences to you and your inconsolable kitty.

Prayers for you. You'll find the answer and usually it's not in the kitchen. Breathe and work thru the stress.

Bad stuff really gets in the way for those of us with food relationship problems. Breathe and work through it sounds like good advice -- and keep reminding yourself that food does not make grief go away or stress go away, and after the fall, we all just feel worse not better!

Johanne, I am so sorry too. We recently lost a beloved cat and before that our little Schnauzer. It feels terrible, the other pets feel the loss as well, I know. Someone just a few weeks ago blessed us with a little Morky puppy. He brought great joy to our Jack Russel, not so much the cat. Maybe you could get another little friend for the kitty?

Thanks everyone. Gigi, Emma is very picky. I have another cat, Velcro. They REALLY don't like each other. Emma is 12 and she adored Remi. She spent the last few days before he passed, sleeping with him and bathing his head. She's not a snugly cat and, when she's not looking for Remi, she's been glued to my side like a limpet since he disappeared. I wish there were some way I could explain it to her.

Gigi, I'm sorry for your fur baby losses as well. It's so hard! What is a Morky? I'm assuming part Yorkie?
