jeannieselby's Journal, 10 May 22

So Pain Dr. agreed for me to stop the Naltrexone for a week to see if my increased swelling and weakness are due to the higher dosage. I follow up with him next Monday with how the week goes. If it doesn't improve then I'm to continue the Naltrexone trial as originally planned. Using my FS journal to record how things go. To me this is all health related, so my meds and pain levels are FS related that's for any haters out there before you say anything! "My journal, my choice" until the Supreme Court weighs in on this as well.

Night 1 - Melatonin at 11:30 but no Naltrexone. Watched Dick Gregory documentary then bed 12:20 am. Can barely stand up to walk to bedroom.
Up at 2:14 back to bed 2:30. Wake up, stretch out spasming right leg, turn over, reposition pillows.
Up at 4:10 back to bed at 4:40. Wake up, stretch out, do some flutter kicks, and hip raises to try and release clenched right hip flexor, turn over, reposition pillows, turn over reposition pillows, stretch, turn over. Weird dreams throughout the night!!!
6:30 hit snooze alarm, 6:50 up weigh in, pain ointment for low back, right hip & buttock, both knees, Moringa Oil for both feet, claves, and arms, get dressed, Take Armour 90 Thyroid, feed cats, Paratransit showed up early without 10 minute warning call.
Work @ 8:20 am. Take Losartan-HCTZ, Bupropion, and Aspirin, since I didn't have time to before leaving home. Killing time until I can clock in at 9!
10:20 am - barely able to stand - knees and hip pain. Voltaren gel both knees, take 2 Tizanidine caps.
11:30 am - 1 tbsp Lactulose, 30 seated toe raises, 30 seated hip abduction, 15 x 2 seated heal raises.

It's gonna be a long day. Happy Tuesday FS!

Actually, chronic pain has a huge impact on eating behaviors. So does the stress caused by pain. If they can't rub two brain cells together to figure that out...that's on them. This is important information.

Sorry you continue to have to deal with such physical pain in your life, Jeannie. I also use Voltaren on my knees, and take Tizanidine, but neither seems to help much. Ortho doctor wrote an Rx for 3% diclofenac cream (Voltaren OTC is only 1% and doesn't help much), but insurance won't approve it and even if they did it would still be over $200/month out of pocket. He also prescribed Celebrex, which was declined, so he just sent in an Rx for some other medication. I hope your pain doctor is able to find what works for YOU! Keep posting whatever you want to! It's OUR Journal, and nobody has to read it if they don't want to. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how is it ever possible for a hater (?) to show up in someone's post logging so much pain all over day and night!

Keep on posting! If someone doesn't like it they are free to click away and not read. Those that care will support you and pray for relief from the struggles you are going through.
