horrific 😖 still trending up seem to be retaining fluid since I've been dealing with the kidney stones. Last time I weighed this much was July 2020. Certainly feeling uncomfortable in my own skin not because of the number on the scale but because I no longer fit into half of my wardrobe that I bought after I met my goal weight of 145lbs a year ago. Also recently had blood work and everything is off again along with the weight gain A1c is back to 6.3 I had managed to keep it around 5.7 for a while my iron levels are ridiculously low again taking iron pills twice a day now might have to get infusion again if by next week it shows it's not up and my primary is considering putting me back on metformin there's no way I'm restarting that plus my bad cholesterol is also high now great. I seem to be very sensitive to being over weight 😕 my BMI needs to be 25 for me too feel good and my numbers to stay stable.

I been logging my calorie intake consistently now since March 14 that's definitely an improvement but as of this Sunday I'm committed to get back to what worked for me Keto. My own doctor said you need to go back to what you was doing now!!! not later either it be intermittent fasting or keto or both. This has been a minor setback between foot injury being less active and becoming unemployed but I'm back at it I certainly don't want to be back on all those meds and infusions I was on before and experience all it's negative side effects natural approach is better.

No looking forward, no looking back…. Today you are doing it, today you are less self-critical, today you are as kind to yourself as you would be a stranger… today you are doing it! ( whatever your “it” is ) …

So you know what to do. Do it.

Don’t be discouraged. You’ve done this before and been successful. Readjust your focus and get it🥰😊

You can do it! You are right. Staying off as many meds as possible is better.

I retained so much water and gas when I took Oxy for my kidney stones. That became more painful than the stones.

maguscanook, I know if I was patient enough to loose a 100lb in a year I can loose 30 in 3 months that's the goal

Stormygirl, yes some of them meds makes matters worse
03 May 22 by member: tr3vi28
love2educate, yes sometimes the cure is more painful or creates more problems ugh 😑 what do you do to not get the stones again?

Fiber! And water. Eat more beans. I don’t care what anyone says, beans keep stones away! Lol

Stormy yes I agree I would eat half a cup of beans every day different ones the whole year in 2021 helped alot with keeping my iron stable and loosing the weight but I was told by the urologist to limit that meat, nuts, beets and green vegetables everything that works for keto that's when things started to go bad for me

Before you start KETO make sure your doctor Knows that you are or have done or want to go back to Keto. Kidney stones are one of the known possible problems with Keto. Doesn’t happen to everyone but it is certainly in the medical literature.. you said your labs are skewed— how about your GFR, which is one of the tests done to check on how well your kidneys are working. It measures how fast your kidneys can process fluid through your renal system. Low number would be a concern. Low numbers would also be a cause of you retaining fluids. Creatinine measures how well your kidneys are clearing the toxins in your body. It goes up if your kidneys aren’t filtering as well as it should. You may already know this stuff, but just in case—— also none of my business (but as you know, that seldom stops me) did they put you on Lasix to pull water off? Do you have stones in both kidneys or just one? Did they talk about putting in a stent?

My nephrologist recommended lemon juice and water every morning. I also drink lemonade everyday. And, thankfully, I haven't had any stones for almost a year.
