mbd121's Journal, 09 Mar 22

Hit my meager step goal yesterday and went to the gym. I grabbed lower weights for our pyramid workout but still feel like I maybe stretched the backs of my legs too much. My kid and I are helping a friend by walking her 2 Goldens in the evening so it was nice to be outside walking. Its so dumb that I forgot I enjoy it. My kid calls it "big dog privilege" because its easier to walk after dark when you feel safe because of your dog. But, I pointed out that our sassy cocker spaniel would probably be scarier than our German Shepherd was if someone approached. But I also felt confident that no one would approach me with a GS. I miss my dog so very much, and I know thats part of the reason I havent been walking. She was my companion and such a loyal friend. We loved walks together and I need to get over it and get back on the trail. My little dog will be a better walker with time, and its an injustice to us both (and Lunas memory) that Im not doing it.

Anyway, in general Im feeling better and my head feel clearer than it has for a few weeks now. Im just putting one foot in front of another and going day by day.
