So it has been a month and my weight has stayed more or less the same. My achievement I think is that I have not gained anymore - as I was steadily gaining a pound a month since the beginning of the year. This evening I am going to try a spin class for the first time and tomorrow I am doing my usual Friday evening Alexander hill walk/jog. Alexander hill is a residential area where I live with lots of steep hills and a part with 100 steps to climb. The best part is at the top you get an amazing view of the west with the sun sinking into the ocean...I wish I knew how to attach photos to this post! So far I have no been able to jog very much on these hills because I get so out of breath. I think over the next couple of weeks I will challenge myself to walking most of it but jogging up the hills. Going to keep pushing myself!
60.2 kg Lost so far: 0 kg.    Still to go: 8.1 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Gaining 0.1 kg a Week

Hi I have a question. In that month have you changed up anything about your workout. Working out is an accomplishment alone be it a walk around a track or two hours at the gym. I Truly understand that everyone is not at the same level of fitness, but you get out what you put in. The harder you push yourself the better the results. Working out for weight loss should be uncomfortable. I workout but I do not enjoy it, I just enjoy the results. So try pumping it up and the weight will fall off. Don't let your body get used to it!! I wish you well.

Hey Amber! I personally can not stand the gym, so I mix up my workouts. Prior to this month I was in the gym A LOT, and doing mainly weight training. My legs are very muscular and toned now - so I was proud of that, but I was not losing any of the fat on my midesction and though I know some of the weight gain is muscle, I want to lose the layer of fat around my middle. I workout outdoors or follow plyometric routines and do some weights still. I think I stopped gaining weight because I have been counting my calories...though I could follow it a bit more to a tee for better results. When I work out - I do challenge myself and it makes me out of breath and sweaty and I hurt but I still love it - even if itS uncomfortable, so I guess you can say I like the burn. However, I have not been consistent. I go every Friday for the intense workout but the other days are not as intense, so I think I have to pump it up a bit, which is why I am adding spin to the mix. I'm hoping it helps out! Thanks for the support!

When weight is not ramping up that's a step in the right direction, friend. :D

Great work on staying motivated and moving - be sure to eat lots of lean protein so you can replenish when muscle building. That sometimes helps the scale move a little. too. Good for you!

Ditto on the protein <iifym.com/iifym-calculator/>! I often fall way short when I don't have a protein plan for the day. I think FS Puhpine suggested to try to get most of your protein early in the day then you're not scrambling with a major deficit at the end of your day.

Hmmm that makes sense about the protein earlier in the day. Still need to make little tweaks my "lifestyle" (ain't gonna say diet!)

NO, don't day diet! It's the death knell to your efforts. Using the iifym calculator gives you a good gauge on how much fat/protein/carb/etc should be consumed per day (and per meal based on number of meals per day). I've found it helpful to know when I'm way off or keeping in the ballpark. :D
