Kiki8123's Journal, 16 May 14

Good morning and happy Friday!! Good weigh in today - especially considering the amount of carbs I've eaten this week and the alcohol last weekend. Had insomnia last night so was up at 3:50 am. I should use the time and go to the gym this morning, but here I sit in bed writing this journal. I'll probably start some housework before going to work. Tonight we are going to dinner to celebrate my best friend's daughter's graduation from college with her Masters! So proud of her! She's the little one who gave me my nickname, Kiki (I'm really Karen but this is what she called me, then it stuck for the rest of BFF's kids and my daughters dance friends who she grew up with). So, I'm proud to be called Kiki and proud that this little girl (now beautiful and intelligent woman) gave me this name. So, tonight I will load up on the carbs (no alcohol) as we have our cycling event early tomorrow morning. Hopefully I can beat my time for last year. Its been topping at about 100 degrees here the last couple of days. Thankfully, tomorrow the high will only be 90 and obviously lower in the morning when the ride starts.

TGIF!!

I look forward to reading the results of this "loading up on the carbs" and what effect if any it has on your weight. Now get out of bed you lazy young woman and get that treadmill working. !

Great weigh in kiki!! Sometimes I find having more of a carb heavy week every so often actually helps boost my weight loss, kind of like a reset button. I know you'll do great in your cycling event, stay hydrated and have fun!! That goes for dinner tonight too, :) enjoy!

My niece couldn't pronounce my wife's name. It's Maryann. She pronounced it murrayanne. I started calling her Myrrh because it sounded like that. A friend of ours little boy says that the wisemen took Jesus gold, frankincense, and Bruce's wife.
