Another rainy day....Not much outdoor time other than planting some pansies in the planters between rain showers.

Did laundry today and watched Grace & Frankie. I'm obsessed! On Season 6....only Season 7 to go (4 episodes) then 4 more in 2022 to finish it. If you're "older" some of the story lines may resonate. It is a great depiction of friendship between 2 unlikely ladies. I find all the characters engaging, though.

And tonight Hubby & I watched The Voice. We've been fans since the beginning & watched every season. The budding talent is fun & the interaction between the 4 coaches makes me smile.

Some of my photo posts of food I eat have invited comments. Some followers are complementary & agree eating a variety of different foods are the way to success. And some say you can't or shouldn't eat pasta....dessert....wine....etc. All I know is this is what I eat & it works for me. I have adapted some recipes to be healthier. I measure/ weigh pretty much everything I eat at home. In the past I may have eaten similar foods...but larger portions. I also may have snacked without keeping track of how much it was all adding up to. Occasionally I do eat more than usual. But, I know at some point I have to get back to my WOE or I will start gaining again. Anyone just starting out has to understand this is not a quick fix. This has to be a lifelong decision to eat in a way that you burn the calories you take in. It doesn't mean you have to punish yourself with crappy, tasteless meals or never have a treat. It does mean you should move more...burn those calories...and eat in balance.
65.5 kg Lost so far: 12.9 kg.    Still to go: 4.3 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

I totally agree with you too Sherry! And I love Frankie & Grace too! I'm all caught up though so can't wait for more. Glad to hear you say there are more episodes in 2022. Something to look forward to. 😄

If you forbid foods, you're not on a diet. You've moved into the eating disorder zone. So ignore those folks who think carbs are evil. Carbs fuel your brain. You need that! The more you can enjoy your WOE, the more likely you are to keep the weight off and stay healthy. Rock on, Sherry!

I love your food! You and sk are my culinary inspirations... Which I fail to even get close to. 😁 Newbs are always going to have to figure out what makes lasting success. You are brilliant in your management of your health! A beautifully healthy weight and good movement are sure more a measure of health than a serving of tasteless food! 😁

I love pansies and usually have them in planters on my deck during the winter. Everyone has a different idea for how to lose weight. I've learned not to pay too much attention to those who say you can't have carbs or fat or whatever. But if it works for them that's great. Sometimes people do have good ideas though. I "try" to work on portion control, never eat until I'm really full. I had 1/4 bagel this morning - 60 calories instead of 240 and it was satisfying.

I eat Taco Bell. It's yummy. And no one but God is going to tell me I can't eat bread. Intermittent fasting? What? I can't eat some grapes at 2am if I want? Guess what. I'm all grown up. I can do whatever I want. I make better food choices most of the time. That's what works for me.

It always amazes me when people comment on what others shouldn't be eating. 🙄 You've obviously done an excellent and successful job taking care of your health. 👏 I always enjoy seeing your inspiring meals and look forward to seeing more. ❤

I love Lily Tomlin! She makes me laugh out loud. I'm excited that my area is getting a Del Taco soon- just because of how much the Frankie character loves it. Your attitude toward food is perfect- that's why you're so successful for so long! I need to get back in the mindset. ❤️
