Lisa Online's Journal, 05 Mar 11

Dear Friends, thanks for the support and prayers that you give me as it is wonderful knowing I have you to go to in time of need. As you know Mary had the flu not more than 5 weeks ago, and this is when her tail bone started giving her trouble again. Her range of motion has been impaired by the pain. I too had a tail bone injury when I was her age and remembered how painful it was and how long it took to heal so I kept telling her it was probably growing pains on top of the injury and that it would go away with time.

My Imagination went wild yesterday since she was running a high fever that wouldn't break with sore throat, painful ears, weakness, joint pain etc. I started thinking that perhaps she was feeling spinal fluid inflammation from something like meningitis or Mono (they had a case of Mono in her classroom ), and that perhaps this virus was living inside of her body all of that time and that her body wasn't successfully fighting it off. I have a very good imagination.

I took her to her doctor and was reassured that it was not some horrific ailment and was just a relapse of this zombie flu that has been going around. She is feeling much better today:) It's a Mother being a mother lol.

I hope you have a good weekend, With Love, Lisa Online, TOWANDA!!

WHEW!!! Lisa your a part of my family and glad your daughter is feeling better. I know the feeling as I went through it with dad as you know... Oh no he has a lump its blah blah we automatically assume the worse but if we would just let it go and comfort it would be less stress... Easier said than done but can be done. Mothers are the best. Love ya buddy!

So glad to hear your daughter (Mary) is doing much better. Mothers always think the worst at the moment of something happening to their little ones no matter what age they are. So your just being a good mom. Take care of YOU as well...Bren

I'm so glad to hear your little girl is doing so much better! And even though it's probably part of the job description - I don't think we could be mothers without worrying! Comes naturally. So glad it's "just" the flu. Poor thing.

Lisa I am glad your daughter is feeling better and it isn't anything serious. I completely understand that part of your brain going to the worst possible scenario ... I visit it often!! LOL!!! Zombie flu? Geesh! I haven't heard of that one ... don't think I want it!! Somehow it makes the Swine flu sound mild!! Thanks for your sweet comment on my journal. I often don't make it around to all of my buddie's journals but know ... you are never far from my thoughts!!

Lisa you are a very wonderful mother. Glad that Mary is doing a little better. Ya'll are still in my prayers for a full recovery. The tailbone injury sounds like it may take some time. Love ya my friend. Hugs{{{}}}

Glad your child is OK. As adults we can take more supplements than a child. My neighbor she's been sick like two months with it, thankfully I had a bout with it in December a few days and was fine later. Kids are more likely to spread that stuff around being in enclosed classrooms all day five days a week...
