Kevin asked me to take 2 weeks off from dieting, no weigh-ins, no food tracking. It's because we're working on our rental house in South Carolina, and we didn't have a way to accommodate my special needs when it comes to food. I thought it was a bad idea, but he promised not to let me get fat again. I thought I would gain 20 pounds, at least, but I'm only 6.6 over my happy zone, so way better than I expected. Hallelujah! Time to get back on plan.

Ive loosely been doing that on this trip. I'm up a couple pounds but have let loose a bit. I'm still logging for my nutritionist to see though. Sometimes you gotta let loose. ..💜

Life does have its ups and downs. You'll pick up the reins and get it all under control again.

Thanks, everybody. Kevin asked me to modify my eating plan. He asked me to make two changes because he thinks I’m not getting enough food on days when I’m not in my happy zone. He wants me to start weighing myself once per week instead of everyday, and he wants me to put on 10 pounds and make that my new happy zone. He thinks adding 10 pounds will be easier to maintain and give me more happy zone days, but I’m not sure he’s correct. It seems to me wherever I draw the line, I’m still gonna go over and have to work just as hard to get back under. Adding 10 pounds would put me right at the upper limit of having a normal BMI. Any weight I gain would push me into the overweight BMI range until I can take it off. Kevin doesn’t like BMI. He thinks it makes some people too thin. Maybe I’ll compromise with him and put on 5 pounds to see how it goes. I gotta think about it. I may try once per week weigh-ins and see how I do. Kevin thinks it'll be less stressful for me, but I think it might be more stressful because I’d feel less in control of my weight. I welcome any input y'all may have about it.

It’s going slowly, Erq1, but it’s going. We had to extend our stay here until mid September because it looks like it’s going to take us longer to get finished with everything. We had trouble finding a painter to paint the outside for us. The house has lead paint on the outside that’s peeling, and a couple painters said they wouldn’t touch it because I need a person certified in handling the removal of the lead paint. Other painters wouldn’t even call me back with an estimate. It looked like Kevin and I were gonna have get some ladders and do it ourselves, but finally we found someone to it for us, and his price was really reasonable. Unfortunately though it’s been raining everyday, so he hasn’t been able to get started. I'll be so glad when we finish.

But what do you want? If you are on the same page as "Kevin" then I guess that is a good thing. You have done a great job. If changing it up a bit makes you happy and works for you then that's great but don't do it just to please him. Just wanted to throw that out there.

I thought I used one that considered my age, Erq1, but this one is giving me a different weight. I'm gonna play with this a little. Thank you for sharing this!!! 🙂

Means near 450 calories a day more then your body could burn.

Thank you, Roxy. ❤️ Kevin has left it up to me. He's not making any demands. He's trying to be helpful because he sees me going hungry a lot on the days I'm trying to get back in my happy zone. I'm considering what he said because I know he cares about me so much. The other thing is, he's almost always right, so I want to take his suggestions seriously.

It sounds like Kevin cares about you very much and you two are very fortunate to have found each other. I'm very happy for you. It is so helpful to have a supportive partner in life for sure. I am also fortunate to have that with my husband. (At least I got it right the 2nd time around.) 🤗

Compromise is this case seems to be a good thing. You really shouldn't be hungry Lonnie. I know it's only when you are getting back down, but if Kevin is noticing extra stress, it's worth considering going up in weight just a bit. ❤ Hope the weather cooperates and the painter get to painting. 👍

It is your happy place, and in the end you'll have to decide how you want to manage your goals and habits. Yes, there's some stress involved, but you'll find the balance that suits you. I wish you both well in finding health and peace.

Make sure you suit up if removing lead Lonnie. Nasty stuff. Worth the $$ to deal with safely. Be well !!

Lonnie, maybe Kevin is right. My nutritionist says weighing everyday is not healthy. YTo many variables. Try once a week, same day, time, etc. See how it goes. As for the extra 10 lbs...maybe just increase your intake at bit at a time to see what works..Play with what you eat as well. When I have cravings I usually eat a protein and it satisfies it. It's worth a try. 💜💜

Way to start gaining confidence that you have complete control and feedback that if you aren’t tight monitoring what happens. Give yourself an Attaboy for getting right back in the game.
