Well, while I'm not surprised by my weigh-in results I'm not convinced they're entirely accurate, as we went out yesterday for the mate's birthday, and I indulged in a spicy chicken wrap, fries and alcohol. I think part of that number is water retention from all the sodium.

So! Dusting myself off and climbing back onto the wagon this week, so to speak.

Trying my best to not get sick as he's come down (again) with a cough and lots of congestion. I'm currently at work for some overtime, managed to hit the gym before leaving this morning.

Picked up a fitbit last week and am still trying to get used to it. I obviously did something wrong because it had me logged for no sleep time, despite my tapping it like crazy to get it into sleep mode. Downloaded the app for my phone to tell it when I'm sleeping, so we'll see how that goes.

Feeling really greatful today for everything I have....supportive family, loving mate, a job with decent benefits that allows for a comfortable lifestyle, and the fact that I have a fully functional body.

Happy Sunday!

Way to look at the glass half full! Job, insurance, supportive famil, and a great spouse are all things that help your body, mind and spirit keep on this journey. A fully functional body rates up pretty high in my book. I have a healthy body from a disease-free perspective and a decent immune system. But, as someone struggling with spinal issues, I am always thankful for what my body DOES do right. And I appreciate people that know they are fortunate as well. A good friend's husband has Myasthenia Gravida and she posted a simple explanation of what it entails. Totally crazy! If you exercise, you are putting your life at risk, since it is an auto immune disease and every time a person with MG overdoes it, at all, their body produces antibodies that cause PARALYSIS in their muscles (which includes their diaphragm and throat muscles, so breathing becomes difficult). It made me SO grateful that the only repercussion to my exercising is having to limp a bit and having trouble sleeping from pain and burning. I'm sure next week will bring you better results, especially if, as you said, the sodium content of yesterday's meal caused fluid retention. Good luck!
