Been a busy, tiring week. Glad it's half over (so close to the weekend!)

We've hit the start of our peak season at work, so it's just been non-stop all week so far. Tuesday I donated blood, and today we had our health screening at work, so now I have holes in both arms.


Yesterday we had a new snowfall of four inches, so Dave (boyfriend) offered to drive me into work as he was off and he has a manual (whereas my little car is automatic). He surprised me after work by taking me out to the shooting range. I do not care what your personal views are on the use of firearms, so please don't post them here. I've been wanting to learn the proper use of a gun for a while now as it's one of those things I've never encountered until now. We spent the first hour or so reviewing safe handling and the basics (how to load the magazine, eject the mag & rock the slide back). Then it was time for a bit of target practice.

Dinner was at Longhorn Steakhouse afterwards, and it was a really nice break from our normal weekly routine, a much needed decompress/de-stress time. Its always nice to have downtime with one's best friend :)

Unfortunately, this means I'm short a day at the gym this week. The other thing that bothered me was that the scale they used at work for the health assessment was almost 3 pounds heavier than my last weigh-in!!! I'm hoping it wasn't calibrated correctly after weighing a bunch of other people and being hauled from place to place. I'm going to be living if it was accurate.

Sounds like you had a great time Tuesday and that it was worth skipping the gym. And definitely ignore that work scale it was totally not calibrated :)
