I *have* a/c but I refuse(!) to spend as much to cool the house in the hot months as I do to heat it in the cool ones! So it’s set for 23C (should probably be 25C but my daughter can’t sleep if it’s warmer.) Even at 23C my basement family room is a godsend! Probably at least 5C cooler than the main floor. Downside? All the work gets done on the main floor so I can’t hide out in the basement all day long! ;)

I went for a 35 kilometre ride before it got too hot. It was only about 30 degrees Celsius when I went. Now I'm sitting in my house that's 30 degrees Celsius. I have air conditioning on my bedroom but considering setting up some air conditioning in my living room and moving a temporary bedroom to the basement

Hmmmm. Work all day in a steel fabrication plant, in coveralls. I totally agree that 23 - 24C in the house is okay, especially so as not be too much of a constant daily swing to the system. I feel it is better, personally, to acclimatize yourself at least a certain amount. Just my thoughts! 😉😉
