John, Thanks. Tracking daily balance makes clear that I'm taking in exactly what I'm using. As a result, I basically fluctuate plus or minus a few pounds based on variation in salt, carbs and water. I need to drop intake by 100 cal a day if I want to lose 5 pounds of fat over the next 6 months. In the meantime, thanks for the encouragement.
