Goal met, but I've been sandbagging. Yes, I set my weight loss goal high in order to trick myself. It worked!
But for a 6'-1" male, my current weight only takes me from obese to overweight. To achieve normal weight, I need to get down to around 190 lbs.
My goals at age 62 years are very different from a younger me. They are:
1. Achieve a weight that promotes health and well being,
2. Exercise 2 to 4 hours/day,
3. Maintain current muscle mass (I want to hang on to what I have for as long as I can.),
4. Reduce the risk of illnesses associated with aging while overweight (heart disease, stroke and diabetes).
I'll keep going. I don't know if I'll go all the way to 190 lbs., but I do feel there is a little more work to be done.
