Happy Friday everyone! It's been a great week here. I've started on my workout routine and feeling my way through on how my body reacts. I've noticed that I am very hungry after working out. What does everyone eat afterward? I've read so many different opinions that it makes my mind spin.
How is everyone doing? Plans for the weekend?

Nice drop, I love your cheery "posters!" it is wonderful you are feeling up to working out again! I often have a bowl of plain Greek yogurt with some jam mixed in after lifting.

Thanks for the kind words of inspiration. 😊💕 I usually have a homemade protein bar before my workouts and I'll have a carb filled meal after. Today I'm having Mango Chia Seed Yogurt after the workout. 😋 Happy you're feeling a bit better. Remember just take it one day at a time, don't push yourself to hard. Have a great day! 🌞

Great job with the new workout routine, tatauu! I usually get really hungry afterwards too. If I’m having a small snack after, I replenish with carbs and protein like Greek yogurt and banana with some granola or cereal sprinkled on top. Or I’ll have peanut butter toast with fruit. Otherwise, I usually plan my workout before lunch, so I’ll have a big green salad with whatever protein and veggies I have on hand along with some fruit or a piece of toast and hummus.

Carbs within first 30-45m really help rebuild glycogen stores & assist in recovery. Keep those posters coming tatauu! Have a great weekend!

I honestly don’t get hungry until a few hours after working out but it may be because I’m almost never hungry early morning which is when I workout (typically around 3-4AM). I’ll snack around 8AM though.

Hi you! I sometimes have a whey shake after workout. I also get hungry after working out. But make sure to drink lots because that my be something you are needing as well

I am usually hungry after long walks but not hungry after short intense workouts. I like working out at night and usually don't eat after the workout.

You are right! Loads of different opinions. When I used to hit the gym we always did a carb load first then protein after, but these days I do pretty much the same as Newnamewhodis. I usually time my workouts before meals. I think you just gotta experiment until you find what's right for you.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to workout in the mornings before work so I'll focus on figuring out the right combo for right afterward.
