Vacation....(deep breath, relax, enjoy) First day of my vacation from my work place. I was able to catch up with everything thing needed to be done at work and it feels wonderful knowing I didn't have to leave any loose ends which is miraculous in a lot of ways as that rarely happens:) Time to focus on the home front and spend some quality time with Mary as we snuggle in as an approaching winter storm that hit the Northern Pacific and is making it's way downward to the Sacramento Valley this evening.

9am parent teacher conference and then Mary and I are going to hit the gym and do some treadmilling as she is preparing for her first mini marathon on the 5th of December. We have been building up our stamina before school running the 1/4 mile with the other kids who are participating. This 15 minute block of time has been a lot of fun for me because when I was their age I was always one of the last kids around the track and now I am not. When the kids see me approaching most of them start moving faster as they don't want the old lady pass them up, lol. Since I keep going like the energizer bunny they can see by keeping a steady, comfortable pace they are able to continue without stopping and walking. I am serving as a goal model.

This time of the year is typically an easy one to slip back into old patterns but so far so good. My plan is to keep doing what has been working for me like keeping my calories within my R.D.I., eating as healthy as possible, exercising and when Thanksgiving comes I will have my pumpkin pie, a glass of wine or two or a shot of Wild Turkey lol. On Black Friday a left over Turkey sandwich for breakfast as this is one of my favorite traditional meals and I am looking forward to this!

I am not on a diet mentality through these months because I am enjoying the Live-it mentality instead! (Thanks Body Bliss as these words have ignited inspiration in my new way of living it!) TOWANDA!

I love it !! your live it mentality is perfect thru the holidays. I am impressed with your running. I keep thinking about it being something I'd like to do but I don't do it. I think I am afraid but I don't know of what??
