Not proud of myself. Spiralling out of control right now. Its like I'm outside of my body watching myself being stupid. Pissing me off. I just realized the "why". First depression setting in from lack of response to all the resumes' I have sent out (I know this feeling well from 2014 and going through the agony of that experience). That then backed up by my seeming inability to leave the damn scale alone...followed by a surrender to cravings because its like what the hell...I'm screwed anyway. So my weight in less than 1 week is back to where it was 3.5 weeks ago...in spite of all my long walks...and the injustice of all this REALLY PISSES ME OFF.

I've reset my fasting timer for 3 days (Sunday after golf with family a lunch invite & I just an not in the mood to say sorry I'm on a fast right now, like its some honorable quest)

Do I sound pissy right now? angry? irritated? damn straight I am. I hate that I have to be so....meticulous in this process & it feels, on guard all the time. I'm tired.

job applications are so so dehumanizing. reducing yourself to a few lines makes eveone feel hopeless. I'm sorry you're feeling this way, it is so normal but it still sucks.

I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now. But I totally do the same thing. It’s hard to put in all that work to lose the weight and it take time and dedication and tonnes of discipline and then it can all be ruined, just like that, in no time. It’s so incredibly infuriating. But what happened, happened and beating yourself up for it is only going to make things worse. Just keep your goals in mind and moving forward you will continue to succeed. Sending you positive vibes that a job will come your way. Stay strong.

You need to chill, look at where you were to where you are now, it's tough I get it. Drastic measures aren't going to help in the long run. Take care.

Look at how much you've accomplished so far! Focus on that and keep going.

You're only 6 lbs more more than a couple of weeks ago, which is most likely mostly water weight. Don't beat yourself up, it's only a number. Give yourself a day, let's say this Sunday, to jump on the bandwagon again. Until then, blow off some steam, let some frustration out. 😄👍

I've found that in times like this the best thing you can do is be kind to yourself. It's something I still struggle with in practice but I try to keep it at the forefront. This too shall pass. Focus on what you can control. If you need to treat yourself a little bit that's ok but do it in kindness to yourself, not in negativity. For me, it makes a huge difference!

Don't be so hard on yourself! Write today off, start again - with you at the centre of your day. Try not to mix responses to your resumes with your self worth - take some positive action - take a look at the resume, can you improve it? think positively. Forgive yourself for misssteps... each day will pass by so be kind to yourself, nourish yourself with good, fresh food and enjoy your walks.

We all have days that we want to give up, I know how easy it is to give up or give in to the cravings. Over indulging in food makes us feel good temporarily and then even worse after it’s gone. I try and remember that ‘even worse’ feeling before I give in. It’s ok to slip sometimes, just get back in the horse! Best of luck to you!

Is there something else that helps you when you are feeling down? It sounds like you are going golfing and spending time with family - enjoy those and try to be in the moment. That helps me when I feel like I out of control - doing things I enjoy to distract myself. What else has helped in the past?

When I'm down I'm down and the best thing is "this too shall pass". In other words time...and not being by myself. Part of the reason for me getting a dog. I generally am happy to be by myself, able to leave a social situation as I choose to...but when I'm lonely, I very much am. I think having a dog for companionship and to give attention to will be very good for me.
