Confession time?

No! Just giving myself a talking too!

You know when you don't exercise you start slipping back into bad habits. It's just the way it is. Exercise focuses your mind and mindset. If you don't exercise you always think you can have the extra chocolate, a bag of crisps, and another G&T won't hurt. And then you wake up and you feel like crap. And then you ask yourself: WHY, OH WHY do you do this to yourself, time and time again??????

The answer is: No idea! It baffles me, but at least the times in between get shorter :)

I had a few days off while I visited my daughter which was absolutely wonderful. As her hubby was putting in 12 hour shifts during the whole weekend we had lots of girlie time. Lots of chatting & laughing, chilling, sorting things in the new house out and plenty of cooking. Simple and blant food. Good times. I miss her so much already :(

I went back to work for a day and in the afternoon I went to see a friend. When I left her house I went over on my foot and landed hard on my knee. I just went down like a sack of potatoes. For a moment being embarrassed and sore were on one level. Then the pain took over. Managed to stand up and after a couple of minutes I was able to move again without too much pain.

The afternoon progressed as usual. Took the dogs out for their walk, did 45 minutes exercise in my mini gym and then stood in the kitchen and cook a risotto.
Went for a shower and collapsed on the settee.

About an hour later I tried to get up to get a drink .....and I couldn't put any weight on the foot. By bedtime I was in agony. No ice or painkiller seemed to take the edge off. How I managed to get to sleep ¯\_(``~)_/¯

No change of standing/ walking the next morning....but my right leg got a good workout hopping around on it. So did my arms trying to get up and down the stairs.
So no work for 2 days and then it was weekend. Come Saturday I could walk about again slowly.

Sunday I was fighting fit again and since the weather was reasonable for a change, I emptied my greenhouse and gave the roof and walls a good clean.

Last night I went back to my old trainer. He is all into functional training. The class last night was called :Flexibility and Posture. We did half an Hour Stickmobility and the half hour Eldoa. Ha....I didn't know I could start sweating sitting on my bum stretching my spine!!!!

Felt great afterwards, about 5 inches taller!!! I obviously wasn't, but still. I think, no I know I will go back next week for more :)

Out to the pub with friends tonight. I do fancy a good tomato juice.
Thursday : Back to my home gym!!!!

Never heard of Eldoa before. I need to start going to a chiropractor again to "get taller" as I've lost an inch over the past couple of years.

The difference between 'try' and 'triumph' is just a little 'umph'!

Good comment HumpTdumpty, Schmetterling34 great you had a nice time with your daughter, and I hope you don't have any long term affects from the fall you had. I have a daughter she lives over 200 mile away, I don't see her as much as I would like. She went to uni. and never came back, I miss her a lot.
