schmetterling34's Journal, 06 Mar 13

Well, I have decided to weigh in every day. For a little while anyway. I have been a lot more aware of what I have been eating. Cut out the dark chocolate once again, & only had a little glass of red wine. Tom is on the doorsteps, so I am pleasantly surprised to see a little drop :)

I don't feel there are any hard and fast rules about when or how often we should weigh ourselves. I think it's a personal choice, subject to review and revision as our situations change. It's all about what keeps you motivated. Thanks for the mention about the straps on my journal. I have used them once when I was training with Oliver - he gave me the option of using them or not but recommended toughing it out without them, otherwise my grip would never improve and I would always be dependent on the straps. But now, some 9 months later, I'm rethinking that option. If my grip hasn't improved enough in all that time, maybe it's time to use the straps. But one question... isn't it difficult to use them by yourself? It was enough of a process when I had Oliver helping me. I don't know how you can get the second hand done when the first one is strapped down already! I'm sure there is a trick to it... probably videos on how to do it on youtube! LOL.
