59Carol's Journal, 14 Dec 19

Another decent loss this week. Throughout the week I was definitely struggling to meet my goals around not eating too much. I fluctuated as much as 2.2 pounds more than my final weigh in amount. Definitely about variations from the routine.

Since last June I have lost 8.25 inches. I measure 7 areas - neck, chest, left bicep, left thigh, left calf, waist, and hips. My biggest loss was around my hips. I have never measured myself in the past. It is quite gratifying to do so now. It is another way to track progress.

This week has been all about renos at my house. I now have beautiful maple floors in my living room, bedroom, study and hallway. My bedroom wall is moved and the closet is half done. The ceiling is off in my bathroom and the water damage has been run down and attended to. The ceilings are down in the study and hallway ready to have poplar put on them. Drywall is up and ready for mudding. Very exciting. The question is going to be how much will be completed by Christmas!

All Christmas gifts are bought and wrapped except for two gifts to come in the mail. I bought the turkey from the Hutterites yesterday. I will need to plan Christmas dinner. My son will be making Christmas Eve supper for the family so I don't need to think about that piece.

Great job on the weight and inches loss! Isn’t it gratifying once shopping is all done? Sorry you had issues with a water leak. No fun trying to work in all that around holiday stuff. BUT being busy helps with keeping a deficit.

Wow, you have really broken the weight barrier! I would think that helping your working crew is keeping you so busy that your metabolism is just humming along. Well done and what amazing renovations!

Thank you to all of you for your support! Now we will see where things are at as of this Friday. Hopefully mostly done this phase but if not they will get at it after Christmas. I have ordered the tile for the next phase. If all goes according to plan renos for my main floor will be complete by Feb 15!!! I am really looking forwards to having everything refreshed and particularly suited to me so I can stay in my home into the foreseeable future. Just to be clear I have no mobility issues or anything as of this moment but as I am 60 I am thinking I need things to be supportive of when I am into my 80s!
