59Carol's Journal, 22 Nov 19

It is too funny watching myself edge ever closer to the One Hundreds. This week I am entering my weight a day early simply because I am heading to Grande Prairie today and won't be home until sometime tomorrow. Between having to 'rock n roll' with the food piece - not sure what is on offer!- and not bringing my scale with me I figure today is the Day.

Once again examining the numbers keeps me honest. In the 6 days since I last weighed in three days were above the plan and the average ended up 10 calories above my top end. Result? 0.2 pound loss. Not hard to draw the line here. Next week then. At least I am logging a loss and that is good.

While I am in Grande Prairie I will watch a production of Grapes of Wrath. My young friend is playing a banjo on stage. I will be watching it with his mom. We will go out to eat tonight. She has many dietary restrictions so I will be adaptable. I will stay at their house tonight so breakfast is also unknown. It will all be fine. My other 'missions' include getting an International Driver's License for my trip to France this summer, looking at tile backsplashes for after January, and picking out and purchasing some wood flooring to install before Christmas. All fun!

Notable this week is that I have entered all the receipts since July into my accounting program for a business I will be doing the bookkeeping for. I also got a massage which is always divine.

I do not parle tu francais. However my grandchildren are both in French Immersion so that should help. Also I can puzzle out most written French if it is simple like a menu! Last time I was there about 10 years ago neither my husband or I spoke French however we were able to muddle along with gestures and smiles! High school students often came to our assistance as well since they are learning English in school.
