Recommended Daily Intake. Based on research the calculation considers the person's age, height & weight and suggests how much to eat to gain, lose, or maintain their weight. In my experience it is a very broad stroke; huge plus/minus ranges.

Recommended daily intake, it’s estimate based on age, height, activity levels and maybe some other factors for your goal. I think the one on fs is a little high. I usually set it to sedentary and use that number and adjust my intake based on what I see on the scale.
