Had another period. This one was 3 days early from the last one, so I started eating pumpkin seeds to try the seed cycling again. Gotta assume it's day one, right? Sheesh! If we could just regulate the hormones, I might be able to get back to weight loss. Everything went haywire this week. I had an HS flare, got a coldsore, then caught a cold! Happy to see minimal movement on the scale, but I've been pushing fluids for days. My visit with the surgeon was fantastic. He said I have plenty of space in the hip joint and beautifully formed balls (LOL!). Apparently the head of the femur isn't always as rounded as it should be. He was able to see the bone spurs and pointed them out to me. One of them is right where the pain is. SO... The good news is I do not need a total hip replacement, meaning I don't need him. I do, however, need an MRI with contrast to see if I've torn the cartilage. Once confirmed, he will refer me to an arthroscopic surgeon to fix it for me. If they see nothing... ??? Who knows. Injections to try to alleviate the pain? It's a waiting game at this point. They are working to get the MRI approved through the insurance. Once that happens, I'll get an appointment. All I know is that I'm one step closer to getting back to the gym and being able to perform without pain. Wahoo! Have a fantastic week!
