I am leaning towards skip a meal as my maintenance strategy

liv001 The skip a meal strategy normally works well for me. Only meal I will not skip is that after exercise. Find if I forget that meal, I get punished with sore muscles. Skipped lunch yesterday, and breakfast today. May also skip dinner today. Basically spend more time in body fat burning mode. Maintenance is more challenging. Once I announcement that I'm in maintenance, too many people offtered socializing and came with food gifts. For a moment I was 'back to normal' and got to experience why I got obese. My defence is to identify enemies of normal weight, and to the best of my ability stay clear of them

I am a big fan of Dr. Atkins (but not the Atkins company or the current version of the diet). I reread his book often. He was not right on everything but quite a pioneer on low carb eating. One of the things that he recommends in his books is to test all your limits slowly. Once you cut all your carbs, you reintroduce them one at the time and think about how they work for you. Is it a food you should be eating daily, often, seldom, never. It is what I try to go by. I have learned so much about myself and foods doing this
