Does logging in your food & drink give you a greater sense of control? Even if I'm eating something that is less acceptable on a "Diet" I'm acknowledging it. I must say I may not have enough willpower sometimes to totally avoid something I should pass on, I am able to eat a smaller portion. So today....here's to good, tasty food in acceptable portions! 😁

It has given me a greater sense of control. Not only that, but I'm putting in the real portions. At the end of the day, when I look at my numbers, I can see if I made good choices. Ultimately, that is the most satisfying aspect.

Absolutely, I record every bite or drink. Certainly keeps you in check. ✔️

I don’t feel it gives me control. It makes me aware of how much I eat. Makes me realize that I been bull 💩 myself all my life. And that no wonder I been obese for so many yrs

Oh yes, keeps me in check. Initially, I wanted to log my food and activity to monitor success. If there were slower weeks of weight loss, I could examine my journal to see what the issue was. Now I do it for a couple reasons: accountability, focus and fun.

It's my reality check. Gives me the knowledge of how many calories are in things so I can make an informed decision.

Log it all. Lying to your food journal is lying to yourself.

It doesn't give me a sense of control but it definitely keeps the truth in my face.

Tracking your food makes you way more accountable! Clearly, it's working because you are thinking about what's going in your body!

My diet is a vague meandering without the journal - sometimes lost, sometimes on track. When I'm journaling I've got a road map and I know just when I'm straying. It's like GPS with that annoying voice that tells you to turn around.

Erika---try the snooty English voice...it makes the entries so much better.
