shiny50's Journal, 12 Jun 19

I met my first mini-goal of getting below 250. Now I am shooting for the 230's. Would like to get there by the end of July. I have been losing weight more quickly in the last three weeks since adding the 3-day military diet three days each week. I seem to just maintain during the other four days, but that is okay. The 3-day diet is about 1,000-1,300 daily and I normally eat 1,500-1,600 daily. I am 5'5" so, I would like to ultimately lose about another 100 pounds. So far, I am down 35 pounds yay! I still have this nagging fear that my weight loss will stall and I will ultimately fail. Wish I could get rid of that little voice of negativity, but I have failed so many times in the past, it is a real fear.
112.9 kg Lost so far: 26.3 kg.    Still to go: 22.7 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

WOW!!! 35 lbs. is an amazing loss! Worthy of celebration! I do understand your fear of failure though. I didn't even bother taking measurements when I started (re-started) trying to eat healthy because I was already prepared to fail again. I won't even try to reassure you that the feeling goes away. I've lost 134 lbs. and I still get that nagging "doomed to failure" feeling if I think too far ahead. I have learned to pretty much keeping that feeling suppressed by only focusing on the next 5 lbs. My current goal is 160 because I KNOW I can do 5 lbs. Since I have to pass that goal anyway, there isn't any reason to focus beyond that. I may never reach my ultimate goal of a "normal" body weight (130 is my ultimate stopping point), but I'll continue to aim for it.

I’m trying to break through the 230 mark as well. It’s where I have stalled in the past. I come here to keep my motivation going. I believe you will succeed too! We got this!
