brettthibault's Journal, 09 Dec 12

The sun, like a bulb behind high gauze, is burning through. The chickadees and titmice are flying half-pipes and slaloms to the feeders while a pair of Cheshire gooseberries watch looking for an opening to attack.

I increased the calorie intake yesterday to well over 50 and the scale halted its downhill chug on queue. The correlation appears to hold for my circumstances. Yesterday was also a day of rest; housework and yoga were the most strenuous activities. I do not appear to be suffering from any of the effects one would expect to encounter with my ultra low calorie intake. I measure body fat with a caliper, and there is moderate muscle gain and substantial fat loss according to Scooby's calculator. Some lines of muscle definition are already beginning to appear.

Regardless of the pundit's soothsaying and what accounts for conventional wisdom: "It's simple, just . . ." my current prescription appears to be working for me. Going back to the below 50 carbohydrates today. I'm striving for balance but one an ultra low calorie platform.
